This Is Not A Photo Opportunity

WORST. DAY. EVER.

Since I started this photography lark there has been one band above all bands that I have wanted to photograph.  They were one of the first bands I ever got into (as in buying all the albums, the 12″s for the extra tracks, the dodgy live bootleg tapes etc) and, more importantly, they were the first (headline) band I ever saw live.

Today I was given the opportunity to photograph this band.  Only it was a last minute thing and it was emailed to me.  I had to let them know ASAP and at worst within 20 minutes.

I didn’t check my mail until 30 minutes after they sent it; I was 10 minutes too late.

And that’s why there won’t be any pictures of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton or Larry Mullen Jr in my blog anytime soon…

I can’t even begin to put into words how gutted I am. But you probably won’t see me with a camera in my hand for a while.
